Upcoming Content Update - Verse 2 Part 3 (en anglais)
Hello Paxians,
The Gold and Grace update, which introduced markets and of course, Gold and Grace, has been live for a few weeks. However, as you may have noticed, a few features in our roadmap for Verse 2 have not yet appeared.
Some of these features can take us longer than expected to develop and test, as we make iterations to find the best ways to add them. But we’re happy to say many of these features are in a place where we should be able to deploy them soon. Some may require more attention - we won't consider them final until they're released, which means they may be delayed or revamped.
While we don’t currently have a set date for this update, we can share part of the content we plan to include. Ready for a sneak peek? Let’s go!
Market Square - Part 3 - Key additions
The Compass
If you’re sometimes lost when exploring Gallia, the Compass will point you in the right direction! Even if you’re the type of person who can quickly tell your right from your left, the Compass should still come in handy.
In addition to giving you cardinal directions, the compass allows you to keep an eye on your waypoint marker, displays points of interest and shows custom markers in your vicinity.
Markets additions
Exciting improvements are coming to markets, making trading more efficient and accessible. Sorting and filtering options will be enhanced, allowing players to navigate listings easily.
These improvements pave the way for our new feature: Home Valley Browsing, which lets you explore all markets in the Home Valley you’re in and set a waypoint to guide you to the market that sells the item you want. A new market stall variant is also in development, offering more cosmetic options for vendors.
Building, cost revamp, and new pieces
We are reviewing the cost of building pieces with two goals in mind: consistency and simplification.
We're streamlining prices so that similar pieces cost less and larger items become more economical. To simplify crafting, we've reduced recipes to a maximum of two materials, removing redundant components. We even decided to get rid of the most-crafted item of all time: wooden pegs. These changes will make building more straightforward without compromising depth and flexibility.
Lastly, we plan to add new building pieces to complement the cottage, hut, and half-timber sets already in the game.
Want to know more? The upcoming content update will also include new emotes and other nifty additions. We’ll be able to provide more details in the coming weeks.
We hope you’re as excited as we are about the next update! Stay tuned to find out when it’ll be released.
