Pax Dei 1.0 releases October 16. A new Chapter begins.

    Hello Paxians,

    The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here: Pax Dei 1.0 will release on October 16, 2025.

    Your journey through this handcrafted, player-driven world will soon begin in earnest. After months of Early Access, with incredible feedback, shared stories, and unforgettable builds from our community, we’re thrilled to welcome new and returning players to a living medieval MMO like no other.

    Here is all the information you need to know to enter this new phase of development for Pax Dei. We go into more detail in separate articles that we highly recommend you read carefully. 

    Timeline

    • 🧙‍♀️ September 29 to October 14: Community Celebrations - check out our Discord and social channels to celebrate the end of Early Access with various activities!

    • 🔧 October 6–14: All servers will be offline for final preparations.

    • 🧭 October 14 / 10 a.m. UTC (3 a.m. PDT): Head start - 1.0 game servers open for Founders.

    • 🌍 October 16 / 3 p.m. UTC (8 a.m. PDT): Pax Dei 1.0 is now available for everyone.

    Release & Wipe

    The game will be accessible to Founders on October 14 and to newcomers on October 16. If you own a Founder’s Pack, we encourage you to take advantage of this head start, to secure your character or clan name, and pick the perfect spot for your new home. 

    At release, everyone will start on new shards, and all characters, plots, inventories, skills, etc., will be deleted and reset. That’s the final wipe of our Early Access, and there won’t be any more wipes after Pax Dei 1.0 is released.

    Where can I play Pax Dei?

    Pax Dei 1.0 will be available on the same platforms as during Early Access: Steam, Epic Game Store, and GeForce Now. However, we’re making two modifications:

    • Game Pass: We’re excited to announce that, as of October 16, Pax Dei will be available on PC Game Pass. 

    • Pax Dei Launcher: On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, we will be decommissioning the Pax Dei launcher, which means you won’t be able to access the game via the launcher anymore. 

      All Founders currently using the Pax Dei Launcher have received a Steam key, granting access to the game on Steam going forward. All the Founder’s Pack perks, including the Gallian Gargoyle received for purchasing through the official website, will carry over seamlessly.

    How to play Pax Dei 1.0 as a new player?

    As a new player, you will be able to play Pax Dei 1.0 on October 16 simply by purchasing the base game on the available platforms. With your purchase, you’ll get game access, 2 character slots and a free month of Premium Membership, granting one month of Premium status and one Plot Token.

    If you’re interested in the exclusive perks included in the Founder’s Packs, they are currently on sale on our website and Steam. Founder’s Packs are available until October 6. Check them out before they disappear!

    What will happen to Early Access players?

    As an Early Access player - or Founder - you do not need to purchase the game again. You already own it. Based on the Founder’s Pack you purchased, you’ll also keep your character slots, cosmetic recipes, and will be granted 1, 2, or 4 Plot Tokens and 1, 2, or 4 months of Premium Status depending on your Founder’s Pack.

    As a Founder, we welcome you to the 1.0 game servers from October 14, two days ahead of the official release. Take advantage of this head start to secure your character or clan name and pick the perfect spot for your new home. 

    Final treat: we recently announced that all Founders will receive an extra copy of Pax Dei, to invite a friend along. You have until November 16 to connect to the game and benefit from this offer, don’t miss it!

    Keep playing for free or with a subscription

    Whether you are a newcomer or a Founder, once your free month(s) of subscription is/are over, you can choose to continue playing for free, without a plot, and retain access to the whole Pax Dei experience, or pick up a Premium Membership to unlock extra benefits.

    Community Celebration

    To celebrate the end of Early Access and the release of Pax Dei 1.0, we have planned several community activations on our channels. In addition, we’re partnering with Just About for a brand new program, where you’ll be able to complete Pax Dei-related missions for great rewards.
